This year I decided to enter in to the 2nd Annual ArtsQuest Cupcake Bowl competition which is a benefit to raise money for the ArtsQuestArts Education Program fund. About 18 bakeries were present and each brought 2-3 different flavor cupcakes for guests to try. The event was sold out (about 450 people total) and was a huge success. Rohit and I even got pictures of our table in some of the write ups about the event (LehighValleyLive.com and The Morning Call).
Here are some pictures of my display.
I decided to make two flavors for the Cupcake Bowl. Mango Ginger, which is probably my most popular (and my favorite) flavor….
My second flavor is also a very popular one, especially with kids. The cinnamon bun cupcake!
This was my first year at the Cupcake Bowl, but almost all of the other vendors were returning. There were a number of impressive table displays. I was glad I got the chance to take a walk around the room to see them and to sample some of the other vendors delicious cupcakes!
Louie’s Bakery had an awesome picnic display
Connie’s Cakes & Cookies used wrapped presents to display their cupcakes
Cozze Cakes went with a classic 50’s ice cream shop display
Lehigh catering’s display was very elegant, and their lavender lemon cupcake was very tasty
Sugar So Sweet had a beautiful holiday display for their adorable mini cupcakes
Trixie’s Treats also had a beautiful holiday display
Sweet Celebrations had a cupcake carousel and Ferris wheel to display some of their full size cupcakes.
I can’t forget the wonderful music provided by the Frank Giasullo Quartet.
Our Cinnamon cupcake was a huge hit, the picture below was taken just an hour in to the event!
